NOVEMBER 2015
The theme for this month was "mixed media".
The challenge was to still produce work in traditional methods (the majority of pieces being produced in watercolor) and explore new digital editing/compositing methods.
The unforeseen problems were learning the immediate difference between cheaper paints and paper and more "professional" supplies. Since I was learning how to use watercolors, I opted to go for a more abstract approach to just push/pull and mess around with the results. I got pretty sick this month, in addition to having a pretty big project (See: FORM), so some days I feel like I really phoned it in..
The rewards were learning that I had a lot of options when it came to editing, and that when working with watercolors, I much preferred to work on a specific subject.
